Awkward & Awesome Thursday

Awkward:

• Going to the bank, withdrawing money, then getting your transaction receipt which states that you currently have a zero balance. *panic ensues*
• Unilife selling out of the second hand text books you need for this semester
• $100 uni text books. Not some much awkward as annoying/infuriating/depressing
• Sickly pale skin. I went to the bathroom at uni, and was meet with a pale, sick looking face in the mirror. When I am not even sick?
• Trying to talk to my Mum on the phone while in the uni computer pool. I was trying not to disturb everyone else/not give them anything to eavesdrop on, that I may have came across abrupt to Mum, like I didn't really want to be on the phone to her. Not true. I like talking to you on the phone. Even if we do live in the same house and will see each other in the next couple of hours.
• Work dinner next Friday. Not entirely comfortable with the idea of socialising with the work girls. And I don't mean that in a snarky way, more in a I can actually be quite shy and unsocial. Notice unsocial, not anti-social.  I like to socialise. Just with small amounts of people. And preferably with my friends next to me. For backup.
• Stomach aches. Actually this isn't awkward. This just plain old sucks.

Awesome:

• Getting a distinction for my Summer School major assignment. Happy!
• My tutor for Travel & Tourism. She is giving us so much help and opportunities to draft assignments and exam questions, that she may as well just hand us the answers.
• Almost enjoying work tonight. Almost.
• Half plans to see Hall Pass next week.
• Pretty new green quilt cover. Makes my room look more like a 22 year olds and less like a 14 year olds. Progress.
• Matching green sheets. Although the low thread count does mean they were a little bit scratchy at first. (I'm skint, so I went for the $13 180tc over the $26 250tc)
